Anime Geeks???

I was scouting through the net one time, and I noticed that there were a sleuth of rants and raves that either disted anime geeks or made fun of them.

Personally, I don't consider myself any kind of a geek, but at the age of 26, I still like anime.

I guess I don't understand wtf ppl don't like about 'em? I also don't understand why society also tends to retard the stereotypes of the computer geeks, the mathmatician, the miscellaneous whizkid, and the Trekky - (albeit I don't see much in Trekkies either.

Interestingly enough, at the same time, the same society tends to herald the romantic stereotypes of the high-school drop-out, the ghetto-bound urban warrior, the perverted pornographer and serial rapist; markets fads for commercialized cop-killers [?].

So taking the Freudian view of this, we could possibly say that America is a nation of idiots who have a disdain for anything or anyone that's at least half-way intelligent. It's the sad truth folks! Am I full of shit or not?
